Based on the “Open the doors to music potential” motto, Oh Yeah is a dynamic cultural and social centre located in Belfast. The truth is it, is by all means, full of potential to be explored itself. It is constituted by several rehearsal rooms for bands, stages where many concerts take place and also spaces for creative musicians. Meet what’s behind the Oh Yeah Music Centre’s appeal.
In 2012 Belfast-born siblings Thom and Lucy formed Southern. This Liverpool-based group’s eponymous EP has had a bombastic reception and the tunes that followed have made the point even clearer: they’re here to stay and not about to get ignored by the big figures in the showbiz.
Belfast’s jazz scene has more events and bigger audiences than ever before seduced and exposed to all its subgenres. So Moving On Music’s team decided to try something new: they founded a whole festival dedicated to the music style.
About 250 events in 70 venues are part of the Belfast Music Week’s programme.
